| Since my inaugural message on this site last September, I have had the pleasure and privilege of talking with educators and policymakers at all levels. It’s clear that there is no shortage of important issues Carnegie might take up in the next decade, and I am pleased to announce that we are now moving ahead with a line of new work focused on accelerating students’ mathematics learning in community colleges. I’d like to begin, however, by laying out a more general framework for Carnegie’s work—one that bears on wide range of issues and on this country’s capacity for educational improvement. More» |
